Why Should You Keep Your Car Clean?

The fact of the matter is that your car is where you spend most of your time, second only to your workplace and home. According to a study conducted by Harvard University, the average person spends one hundred and one minutes in their car daily. In larger metropolitan areas, like Atlanta, the number is higher.

How does this affect me?

Having a clean car is healthy for you and your family

Every car can get messy at times, especially if you have children and pets on board, live near a beach, do a lot of traveling, or whatever the case may be. At the same time, your car is not a storage for trash. Here are a few of the benefits of keeping a clean and organized vehicle.

Reduced stress

Reduced asthma symptoms

Better air quality and decrease in airborne particles inside of your vehicle

Having a clean vehicle is essential, especially if you will be traveling with infants or people with pre-existing health conditions.

Your Car’s Condition Is A Reflection Of Its Owner

If you take care of your vehicle, it can be assumed that you are a person that values his or her possessions. When your boss, coworker, family member, or partner enters your vehicle, they will either cringe at the buildup of trash you swept away so they could sit down, or feel comfortable sitting in a clean, organized vehicle. This may sound shallow, but it’s the hard truth we all have to face. We want to make sure that nobody is cringing upon entering your vehicle. Just as you wouldn’t wear dirty clothing or have a polluted home, the same goes for the vehicle you are driving.

Increasing Your Car’s Value

Dirt affects your vehicle more than just making its appearance less appealing, it damages your car in several ways.

Scratching

Rust building

Paint chipping

The average length of time people keeps a specific vehicle is six years before they sell it or trade it in, a long time for these blemishes to build up and ruin your vehicle’s appearance if neglected. Don’t burden yourself with the stress and costs of repainting your vehicle when you go to trade in or sell. A great way to insure against this is a regular hand washing regimen or mobile detailing service. We never recommend running your vehicle through a machine wash.
